Is it possible to give us a better bevel tool than LW native bevel tool as it is to destructive.
Hi Viktor,
I have been thinking about this for a bit of time now, i would love to see a greebling system in LWCad.
Random placement of assets like AC Units, Decorations, Windows, Doors, roof equipment and such.
Hi again.
I'm having a great deal of fun using the patching tools, especially the network patch, but the one major limitation I keep running into is that it can only loft single segments. This is fine if all I'm lofting is simple curves or splines, but if I want to loft something more complicated such as a profile that has a straight line segment in it (see images below), then Patch will only
Add drawing levels/elevations so when drafting on the selected level, things are place on that level. In pro arch programs, this is a given.
Or at least make the Z level, when changed to place a wall up to another level, keep that number instead of having to re-enter it every point.
More dimension abilities. Very important. Printable.
Dxf import scaling control would help.

Another tool that 's missing is a LWCAD version of the Capsule tool. Having one would allow the creation of a nurbs object as well as the use of snapping.
Thanks
When creating a polygonal Box or Cylinder/Cone, it would be great if there was a numeric panel option for adding uniform segments. At present the only way is to add them using LW's Bandsaw Pro, and that doesn't work on LWCAD's Cones.
Also, it would be useful if you could hold the Shift or Ctrl key to drag out uniform sized 1x1x1 objects.
Thanks
Hello
I would like to request the addition of a LWCAD version of the Lathe tool. Since Lightwaves native tool doesn't work on LWCAD curves, it is necessary to convert them to LW lines in order to do the revolving, and then only in polygons. Also LW's tool doesn't have the benefit of LWCAD's snapping and is hard to use at times.
I've come up with a work around where I draw a profile using

I think it would be very helpful to have on the SILL dialog section and checkbox for INSIDE and OUTSIDE. I know most commercial buildings will not have an outside sill but may have an inside sill. Giving them both their respective surfaces (as requested in another post) would be ideal.
Window Sill-In
Window Sill-Out
Otherwise I will use the window tool without a sill and have to c

It would be great if the SILL that was created had it's own surface by default. Currently it's the glass, and frame. Good thing is it comes unwelded so you can pick a piece and select connected. But once things are setup in my model (surface wise) would be great if this just came in correct as I draw them out. With their own surface.
It would be nice if LWCAD had a bend tool.
The current LW bend tool is hopless.
In addition it would be great if you could choose to adjust the bend to be parabolic in shape and possible some fall off?
Cheers

I have been looking at a lot of architecture videos online and wondering about adding a simple radio checkbox and value entry fields for cost calculation of basic primitives. Perhaps even a selector that could asses the volume and cost per cubic unit of a given solid. Ok thank you
currently, when you have the shape library open, you have a slider that lets you slide through the different items.
but the items can only move according to "steps" and there is actually no scrolling at all and the steps only move after you let go of the slider.
this is very unintuitive. it would be a lot better if scrolling is not possible to implement, then just have large up arrow and
would love the ability to disable snapping temporarily without deselecting all the different snaps.
thanks!

i went from lightwave 9.61 to lightwave 2018 and so for me, i have not had a situation where the installer actually worked for me.
it would be cool if the installer tried to identify the directories by itself but if it can't find them, it gave the user the ability to manually select the directories and then continue auto-setup.
manually installing isn't a huge deal but it does involve a f
hi,
so i'm still currently on the 3.x version and i'm looking to upgrade soon but was wondering if in the later versions, there's a way of changing the scale of library objects when the library objects are invoked during tools like cloning a library object on a polygon.
i forgot the exact name of tool but there is one tool that allows you to "spray" a library object on an existing poly an

Hello
Will be possible to create Smart Element?
Smart Element - for example, it's lwcad object(file) which contains complete facade of building's side. We can place it at one of building's side. Or it will contain room(if will be possible osl room - http://julius-ihle.de/?p=2451)
Also it has any proxy features: level of detail, load at rendering and etc.
Viktor, I wanted to comment on something as a suggestion, I do not know if it's very far-fetched but I feel that this level of control is missing from the program to work much better. I do not know if you know the DesignToolBox plugin from Atelier Bump. There you can be strict with angles, reference guides etc ... all this very very useful and necessary within the architecture tools.
If you c
I'm finding the snap "magnetic" strength to be a little aggressive. Is there some way to set this. If not, can there be
The current OpenGL button are hard to see on a grey backdrop and hi-res display. I suggest giving us the ability to change the text size (as well as the button size) and also pick colours we like, rather than just use red and green (neither of which works that well on a mid-grey canvas).
Also, when you click the '2D' OGL button it disappears, rather than change colour and remains as a toggle
Creating a road center-line is fairly simple but could be improved. (way better than native tools) That got me thinking about the more general case of lines that are tangent to circular arcs. The type of curve I am talking about is a series of straight segments and arc segments that always have the characteristic of being tangent and the arc segments are circular arcs.
I have tried creat
