And I want to inform you about the status of LWCAD for LightWave.
The development is on schedule with a little delay and some adjustments.

With the new MeshTR engine, you can look forward to many new and updated tools.

Those who are still LWCAD 4 or LWCAD 5 licensed, you have the last chance to upgrade directly to LWCAD 2020.

When do we need to upgrade our older licenses by (what date) if we are on 4 or 5?

Tim, Now it is the best time!
Because you'll get a free upgrade to 2020 if you upgrade 4 or 5 to 2018 now.
Little bit unfair to people who are upgrading regularly, but I have to do this kind of specials to keep development going.
It is sort of discount.

Anyway since ver. 2020 I am going to change pricing policy a little bit.
It will not affect people who upgrade regularly, it will be the same price per same time as now. But upgrade will be lower price but charged more often.
I will discuss this before it will be applied of course.

I don't want to charge people more, just to avoid big time gaps between paid versions.

Will LWCAD 2020 finally have so long awaited Boolean's for NURBS ?
I'm hearing abotu that since LWCAD 5.x and still nothing, every time it gets postponed to later date indefinitely as it seems .

Also what is the upgrade price for LWCAD 2018.x users to LWCAD 2020 ?

Lewis, NURBS booleans on surfaces are inevitable in LWCAD.
I did a lot of mistakes in LWCAD 5. Applying nurbs surfaces too soon on legacy system.

All elementary NURBS routines must be finished and get matured first. Like refinement, level of detail, projections, re-parametrization of knots , etc ...
I already rewrote almost 90% of legacy routines for new MeshTR engine.

Quality of Booleans are heavily dependent on basic routines. If I add 3D booleans now, you will be complaining that those booleans sucks, and are useless.

For example polygonal Round tool from ver. 4.5 was superior compared nurbs Round tool in ver. 5.0.
And everybody was complaining.
I will not do the same mistake twice.
Nubs booleans will be released when routines get matured.
I am sorry you have to wait, some things cannot be hasted.

Pricing of LWCAD will be as usual, but probably with lower price per smaller period of time as I worte in the reply above.
