I'm not sure if this has a turorial or video. But what are the steps and requirements to get nurb meshes in layout as nurbs? Does layout require a plugin?

It would be sweet if several of LWCads tools could do similar boolean functions as Hard ops plugin does for Belender. Maybe it could be a standalone seperate tool. Based on several of the modelling tools from lwcad?
It seems like at least several of similar functions are comparable. Maybe just needs more live style boolean tools? As well as more edge rounding tools. For any type of edges?

Hi,
It would be great to have a rope / chain tool with non-destructive workflow.
It should come with some preset models of ropes / chains, but as LWCad allows, create our own too.
For ropes, it could be interesting to be able to specify the number of strands and bundles, rotation, ...

Stairs can be created in LWCAD and so can stair rails, but it would be good to have balusters from the each of the stairs to the stair rails. Can this be done?

Is there a way for the Round tool to behave like the Rounder tool from Lightwave when the "OGL poly" option is activated ?
It creates a liitle bevel on the rounded polygons, so that reflections look accurate when rendering.

I am trying to calculate the volume of a model and thought that AreaVolume would do that, but I get strange results.
For a sphere that is 100mm in diameter is gives me a result of 508819mm3 which is way off.
Am I doing something wrong?
It would be nice to be able to create wall styles. Revit and Architectural Desktop have had these for years.
Currently the wall command simply draws 2 lines in top view.
An example of a wall style would be a brick cavity wall complete with brick hatching. Another would be a timber framed wall with studs and separate linings for interior and exterior.

I would love to see support to import STP or some other cad format since we now have spline support. At the moment I'm using MOI3d to convert to a 3d support, but being able to directly import would be awesome.
Export would be nice too, but not as high a priority for me.

After many years and countless requests from users, we have finally created this forum which is purely dedicated to LWCAD.

First off thank you for everything you have done with LWCAD . Its kept me using Lightwave for years. I would have been done with it long ago if it wasn't for you.
That being said. Lightwave is done. 2018 version of Lightwave proved to be the biggest waste of my money. I have used it since the Toaster days, and now the product is decades behind.
